(Selangor, 4th) — A car lost control and plunged into a roadside ditch, resulting in one death and one unconscious.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Deputy Director of Operations, Ahmad Mukri, issued a statement saying that the department received an emergency call at 5:48 PM yesterday, reporting the incident along Jalan Bendang, 4th Canal, Sabak Bernam, Sekinchan.
He said a team of seven from the Sekinchan Fire and Rescue Station was dispatched to the scene, equipped with one fire engine.
“The incident involved a Proton Wira, which is believed to have slid and fallen into a ditch about two meters deep.”
“The first victim was a 15-year-old male, who was already unconscious when rescued by bystanders.”
Ahmad Mukri said the second victim was a 20-year-old male, who was found about 150 meters from the accident site in a garbage bin.
“Personnel from the Health Department confirmed the victim’s death at 7:10 PM.”
He said the other teenager was sent to the hospital for further treatment.
