(Bandar Seri Begawan, 31st) – The 22nd Wenchong (Chung Hwa Middle School Brunei) School Sports Meet was recently concluded with great success. The Blue-Green Group clinched the overall championship title with outstanding performances. The competition was fierce this year, with a total of four meet records being broken, fully showcasing the athletes’ courage, tenacity, and the spirit of surpassing themselves.
Acting Principal Du Xiuying stated in her opening speech that the school sports meet is not only a sporting event, but also an important platform to display the school's spirit and style, enabling teachers and students to learn values of perseverance, teamwork, and fair competition through the games.
She thanked all teachers, students, and staff members for their efforts in making this sports meet a success. She also encouraged all athletes to give their best, demonstrate their highest level, and enjoy the fun that sports can bring.
She stated that this year's competition was exciting, with some events even breaking meet records. However, while results are important, what matters more is the participation and the persistent effort. She hopes all students will abide by the competition rules, respect referees and opponents, uphold the sporting spirit of 'friendship first, competition second,' and encourage and support each other to jointly foster a positive, healthy, and harmonious campus atmosphere.
She also expressed her gratitude to TLT Enterprise and Saneotech for generously sponsoring beverages, and wished this year's sports meet every success, hoping all athletes would perform at their highest level and showcase true sportsmanship.
