The sacred remains of the late Thai high monk, Luang Pho Chamnian, will officially depart from Kuala Lumpur this morning (21st) and be transported to the renowned Wat Tham Suea (Tiger Cave Temple) in Krabi Province, Southern Thailand, with an estimated arrival around 8pm tonight.

As the sacred remains are about to return to Thailand, Tiger Cave Temple has begun related preparations. The main hall and ceremonial grounds within the temple are gradually being arranged, all in accordance with Theravada Buddhist tradition, for the subsequent religious observances honoring this eminent monk.

It is understood that some disciples and monks are waiting respectfully at the Thai-Malaysian border to welcome and receive Luang Pho Chamnian's remains as they enter Thailand, and will bid farewell with solemn rituals.

During his lifetime, Luang Pho Chamnian resided and practiced at Tiger Cave Temple for many years, spreading the teachings of Buddhism and building deep affinitive ties with the southern Thai Buddhist community and numerous followers. Now, his sacred remains return to the temple where he practiced and taught, receiving great respect and attention from local monks and disciples.
According to the temple's announced schedule, Tiger Cave Temple will hold the 'Luang Pho Chamnian Sacred Remains Bathing Ceremony' tomorrow (22nd) at 1pm (Thailand time) in the Baiyi Merit Hall inside the temple.
The ceremonial site inside Tiger Cave Temple has already been arranged, including the setting of Dharma seats and an altar for offering to the image of Luang Pho Chamnian, in preparation for the upcoming rituals.

According to the temple's announced schedule, Tiger Cave Temple will hold the "Luang Pho Chamnian Sacred Remains Bathing Ceremony" tomorrow (22nd) at 1pm (Thailand time) in the Baiyi Merit Hall within the temple.

This bathing ceremony is an important event in the Theravada Buddhist tradition, and will be presided over personally by the Supreme Sangha Leader of Southern Thailand, Somdet Phra Maha Kiri Man Karajan. Monks and devotees will respectfully honor and remember Luang Pho Chamnian's lifetime of spiritual cultivation, teaching, and guidance.

With the sacred remains arriving at Tiger Cave Temple tonight, a subsequent series of religious ceremonies will officially begin, with disciples following Buddhist tradition in respectfully welcoming Luang Pho Chamnian back to the temple where he dedicated his life to teaching.
