Kuching Floods: 341 People Still Stay at Evacuation Centers

(Kuching, 11th) The flood situation in Kuching is gradually easing, but there are still 341 victims taking shelter at temporary evacuation centers.
The Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) stated that as of today, a total of 341 victims from 91 families have been placed in two temporary evacuation centers (PPS), both of which continue to operate following localized flooding in several areas.
Of these, the evacuation center set up at the R-Piang Hall was opened on March 10 and is currently housing 116 victims from 24 families, with the number remaining unchanged.
Meanwhile, the evacuation center located at the Stapok Community Hall has taken in 225 victims from 67 families, with the number of evacuees there showing a decreasing trend.
The Civil Defence Force noted that the overall number of people taking shelter continues to decrease, indicating that the flood situation in the affected areas is gradually improving.
