If PN Headquarters Really Closed, Lim Lip Eng: Can’t Even Take Care of Themselves, Still Talking About Governing the Country

(Kepong, 6th) Democratic Action Party Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng mocked Perikatan Nasional (PN), saying that if reports about its headquarters closing are true, PN not only closed its headquarters but also owes salaries and laid off staff. PN can't even take care of its own employees, yet still has the nerve to talk about running the country?
Yesterday, reports indicated that PN has closed its headquarters in Kuala Lumpur and dismissed related staff. Even worse, it is said that these laid-off employees have not received their salaries for almost two months.
“If this is true, it is not only a major administrative mess, but also completely exposes the incompetence and failure of PN's leadership. A party that can't even keep its headquarters running, and yet has the audacity to shout about ‘saving the country’ every day? An alliance that can’t even guarantee the basic rights of its employees, how can it claim to have the ability to govern the country?”
Even more laughable, he pointed out that PN's top leaders are dodging responsibility—some say “not sure,” some say “waiting for the secretary general to explain,” and some revealed that the party’s treasurer-general post has been vacant for half a year, with no one taking over. Facing such chaos in internal management, the people cannot help but ask: is this the “stable alternative government” you keep promoting?
“I urge the Ministry of Human Resources to immediately launch an investigation, especially to confirm whether the relevant employees have received their lawful salaries, and whether their SOCSO and EPF contributions have been paid on time. If there is any wage arrears or shirking of responsibility, it is a serious violation of labor laws and cannot be allowed to end unresolved.”
He also called on the Registrar of Societies to intervene and investigate whether PN has violated its fundamental responsibilities as a registered political party, including properly managing key administrative and financial operations.
“If you can't even manage your own office, then stop pretending to lecture others on how to govern the country. The people can see it very clearly—PN can’t even take care of itself, so what business do you have in leading the nation? It's simply laughable.”
