(Bandar Seri Begawan, 8th) Datuk Liu Guangming, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy, stated during the second meeting of the 21st Legislative Council on the ‘Brunei Vision 2035’ motion that some legislators’ questions in the meeting lacked accurate and up-to-date data and factual basis.
He emphasized that some suggestions, due to the absence of proper research, if not curbed, could hinder government governance efforts, undermine social harmony, and damage the credibility of the Legislative Council.
The Minister stated that these issues have been discussed multiple times in the Legislative Council, and perhaps it is time for everyone to act together and, under the three major blueprints presented in unity, continue supporting relevant government initiatives.
