(Seria, 25th) The Brunei Basketball Association recently dispatched Benjamin Norman Sim to attend the 2nd Southeast Asia Basketball Association (SEABA) Championship Coaching Clinic, held from June 11 to 14, 2026, in Krabi, Thailand.
The clinic aims to equip current and aspiring coaches with the necessary knowledge and skills to prepare and guide their teams more effectively, thus improving overall performance in the long term.
The workshop instructors included Dr. Xu Kunde, Secretary-General of the Southeast Asia Basketball Association, FIBA Coach, and FIBA Coaching Instructor, as well as Nenad Herak, FIBA Coach, and FIBA Coach and Referee Instructor.
During the training, the FIBA U18 Asia Cup Southeast Asia Qualifiers also took place, providing coaches the opportunity to observe on-court action and learn from top athletes. The four-day program covered classroom discussions and lectures, game observation, post-game reflection and exchange, as well as game analysis and presentations.
The Brunei Basketball Association will continue to seize various opportunities to constantly improve the standard of Brunei’s coaches, referees, technical staff, players, and facilities.
