Jiang Zuping Drugged and Sexually Assaulted Case: Gong Yiting Prosecuted by Taipei District Prosecutors Office for Forcible Intercourse

There has been a new development in the case where Taiwanese actress Jiang Zuping accused someone of drugging and sexually assaulting her. After completing its investigation, the Taipei District Prosecutors Office on June 12 determined that the defendant Gong Yiting is suspected of violating the crime of forcible intercourse and has, in accordance with the law, filed a public prosecution.

According to Taiwanese media reports, the case began in August 2025, when a well-known female entertainer posted on social media, revealing that a female actress had sought her help, alleging that she was drugged, sexually assaulted, and secretly filmed by a “TV station affiliate”, and also disclosed multiple chat records suggesting several female staff members were possibly harassed, sparking public attention.

As the incident fermented, public suspicion gradually shifted to Gong Yiting, the son of former Sanlih E-Television (SET) senior vice president Gong Meifu. Reports indicated that while related coverage did not directly name anyone, the details of the case highly matched the experiences Jiang Zuping publicly disclosed at that time.

At that time, Gong Yiting responded that he had been in a relationship with Jiang Zuping and denied the relevant accusations. However, Jiang Zuping soon publicly refuted this, emphasizing that she was the victim and formally filed a complaint with the judicial authorities.

After the incident was exposed, Sanlih E-Television (SET) issued three statements, claiming it would never cover up for anyone, would fully cooperate with the police and prosecutors’ investigation, and stressing “neither to wrongfully accuse nor to shield anyone”.

It is understood that besides filing a criminal complaint, Jiang Zuping also simultaneously filed a civil compensation claim for 13 million New Taiwan Dollars.

In September 2025, the Taipei District Prosecutors Office directed the police to conduct searches and questioning, and continued to collect evidence and investigate. After evaluating the relevant evidence, the prosecution determined that Gong Yiting was suspected of committing the crime of forcible intercourse and decided to file charges in accordance with the law. The subsequent trial will be conducted by the court.
