On the afternoon of the 8th, he appeared at a restaurant in EkoCheras Mall, Cheras, as a "one-day store manager", personally learning how to brew coffee and interacting with customers, showing a down-to-earth side. In a media interview, he revealed that he will return to Malaysia at the end of April to film a short drama, and will also meet with a film and television production company to further discuss the possibility of collaborating on a sequel for "Yi He".

He candidly expressed that he really likes the entire "Yi He" team, and that both the cast and crew made a deep impression on him. He hopes to meet audiences again in the future in different forms, whether through a sequel, a full-length series, or even a movie.

When asked if he is interested in investing in movies, he admitted that he prefers to focus on what he is good at, including acting, producing, directing, or scriptwriting. "I will obediently do well in the areas I excel at and leave the rest to the professionals." He believes that when everyone does their job well, the work is more complete.

In his 21-year career, he said he does not want to remain stagnant in a single role, and in recent years has actively explored work behind the scenes. For the past two or three years, he has consciously reduced his workload, leaving time for different trials and new directions. He also looks forward to future opportunities to collaborate with teams from Malaysia, Singapore, or even Vietnam, to spark more creative ideas.

As for whether he is interested in joining "Call Me By Fire", he laughingly said that the biggest challenge of the program lies in singing, which is not his strong suit. "Since it isn't my strong point, you might not see me appear on the show." He joked that his eldest son, "Chun Kee junior" Lai Fung Yui, is actually quite musically talented.

When asked whether he would nurture his son to join the industry, he replied frankly that it all "depends on fate", emphasizing that he will not prevent his children from making any choices, but as a father, will teach them what "choice" means. He admitted that the entertainment industry is full of uncertainty and requires time and opportunity to develop, and he hopes his children can have a relatively stable and manageable path in life. However, he added that if his son insists on joining the industry, he will fully support him, but for now, it seems his eldest son does not have much interest in the entertainment field.
