The Wall Street Journal Reveals: Jho Low Has Applied to Trump for a Pardon

According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, Jho Low, the key figure in the internationally sensational 1MDB scandal and a Malaysian fugitive tycoon, has applied to U.S. President Trump for a pardon.

The Wall Street Journal, citing people familiar with the matter, said Jho Low’s pardon application was submitted in the past few weeks. If approved, the United States would drop its criminal charges against him.

The report states that information on the website of the U.S. Department of Justice shows that this year, they have received an application for a "post-conviction pardon" for Jho Low, and this application is currently under review.
