On Saturday (August 8), the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Ibrahim, decreed that the investigation into the Pilgrims Fund Board (Lembaga Tabung Haji) Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) report must be pursued thoroughly to the end.

His Majesty stated in an official Facebook post that this is of utmost importance, aiming to ensure all responsible parties receive the appropriate punishment and to ensure similar incidents do not recur.

His Majesty also decreed that the relevant investigations must be carried out fully, and there should be no compromise towards anyone proven guilty.

"If anyone is indeed guilty, they should not escape sanction. Most importantly, such matters must never recur."

On Saturday (August 8), His Majesty received Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar at Bukit Tunku Palace, with the meeting lasting more than an hour.

During the meeting, His Majesty listened to briefings regarding the contents of the Pilgrims Fund Board RCI report as well as issues concerning the Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA).

The RCI report was released on July 29, revealing several key investigative findings relating to the management and governance of the institution from 2014 to 2020.

Parliament will hold a special session on August 11 to debate the report.

On another note, Sultan Ibrahim urged the relevant departments and agencies to strengthen controls and enhance security measures at all airports and the country's borders.

His Majesty pointed out that these measures are important steps to curb drug smuggling and to prevent cross-border criminal activities that may threaten public safety and order.

"Security at national entry points must be continuously strengthened, including more effective enforcement, continuous monitoring, and close collaboration among all relevant agencies."
