Canadian-Chinese singer Yu Wenwen, who became famous for the hit song "Decent," was performing outdoors in Guizhou, China on the 1st. During her performance of "Original Sin," she suddenly turned around, squatted down, and fainted, losing consciousness, after which she was rushed to the hospital by ambulance.
According to videos taken by witnesses at the scene, Yu Wenwen already showed signs of discomfort during the performance of "Original Sin," frequently blinking. After the performance, she suddenly turned around on stage, squatted on the ground for a long time, and when staff went up to try to help her, she collapsed to the floor and lost consciousness a second later.
After fainting, Yu Wenwen was carried offstage on a stretcher by staff and taken to the hospital by ambulance. At 11:40 p.m., Yu Wenwen’s studio posted on Weibo to reassure fans, stating: “Currently there is no danger to her life; she is still under hospital observation. Thank you for your concern.”
