(Miri, 7th) The Miri Divisional Health Department and the Miri Divisional Dental Health Department issued a joint statement today, announcing that the outpatient and dental departments of the Miri Urban Transformation Centre (UTC) Clinic will be temporarily closed from the 8th of this month for repairs and facility upgrades.
According to the statement, the closure period will be from November 8 (Saturday) to December 14 (Sunday). During this period, only maternal and child health services will remain open as usual.
The authorities explained that the temporary closure is to ensure the safety and comfort of patients and medical staff during the construction period.
The Health Department reminded that patients who need medical attention may visit the following nearby clinics:
- Klinik Kesihatan Jalan Merbau (Merbau Road Health Clinic, Miri)
- Klinik Kesihatan Bandaraya Miri (Miri City Health Clinic)
- Klinik Pergigian Jalan Merbau (Merbau Road Dental Clinic, Miri)
- Klinik Pergigian Bandaraya Miri (Miri City Dental Clinic)
The statement also noted that the UTC Miri Clinic is expected to reopen on December 15 (Monday), upon completion of the repairs and upgrading works.
