Miri PTPTN World Children's Day Celebration: Chiew Choon Man: Education is the Best Investment

Miri Member of Parliament Chiew Choon Man was recently invited to attend the Sarawak state-level World Children's Day Carnival 2024 organized by the Miri branch of the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN), where he delivered a speech. He stated that the event reflects society's concern for children's welfare and development, and education is the best gift and foundation for their future.

Chiew Choon Man emphasized that education is a fundamental right for every child and an important asset for shaping a bright future. He specifically mentioned PTPTN's "SSPN Prime Savings Plan," which assists parents in planning their children's education fund and offers several advantages, such as tax relief of up to RM8,000 per year, free Islamic insurance for deposits over RM1,000, competitive dividends, matching grants of up to RM10,000 (for eligible individuals), government-guaranteed safe savings, and eligibility to apply for PTPTN loans.

He urged parents in Miri to make full use of this plan to financially prepare for their children's education. He also congratulated the families who received contributions from the "SSPN Savings Plan" on the day, hoping that they cherish this assistance to create a better future for their children.

Furthermore, Chiew Choon Man expressed gratitude for the efforts of PTPTN and other collaborative units. He stated that the event aligns with the "Madani Malaysia" spirit, which emphasizes welfare, compassion, and shared responsibility. He pledged to continue promoting education and children's welfare issues to ensure no one is overlooked in societal development.
