Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar pointed out that the country he leads must emphasize the mastery of knowledge and skills to strengthen internal capabilities to face increasingly severe and uncertain global challenges.

He said that the results from his working visits to the UAE, UK, Belgium, and Switzerland from January 12 to 22 were immensely inspiring.

“One thing that left a deep impression on me... despite the complex political landscape of today's world, there is still a focus on economic issues, as well as the enhancement of knowledge culture, skills, capabilities, and artificial intelligence (AI).

“Therefore, we must return to urging the people to focus on these areas.”

He said this to the media today after attending the Friday prayers at the Islamic Center of the Mara University of Technology (UiTM) Dengkil campus.

Anwar pointed out that the current uncertainty in US policy makes building the country's internal strength even more urgent and fundamental.

The Prime Minister stated that in this challenging and competitive world, it is essential to inspire the people's will to elevate the nation's and its people's status.

He also emphasized the importance of ASEAN internal relations as a regional force, while striving to accurately explain national policies to the people.

“Internal strength is extremely urgent and fundamental to me.”

The Prime Minister's recent foreign visits also witnessed Malaysia's participation in international discussions and initiatives, with a focus on global economic, technological, and geopolitical challenges.

Earlier, Anwar joined the Friday prayers with students after having lunch.

Attendees included the Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Mohd Zuki, and Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Datuk Mustapa.
