The opening ceremony was presided over by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein. Attendees included the Chief Justice of the Region, Vice Commander of Yangon Military Region, representatives from various departments, the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) and its affiliates, industrial zone heads, MSME entrepreneurs, operators from G3G and Weday app platforms, representatives from various ethnic groups, and invited guests.

In his speech, U Soe Thein stated that the event aims to provide the public with an opportunity to purchase goods at affordable prices, while also encouraging manufacturers to introduce higher-quality and more export-potential products through friendly competition, thereby further promoting the development of local MSMEs. He expressed hope that the carnival would spur consumption as well as foster the growth of local industries and the entrepreneurship ecosystem.

During the ceremony, the Chief Minister awarded cash rewards to the ethnic dance troupe in recognition of their contributions to cultural performances.

Afterwards, the Chief Minister and his entourage toured the exhibition and sales booths, engaging with exhibitors and learning about the various products on display and their sales status.

It is reported that the carnival features more than 620 booths, showcasing products from industrial zones, the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Department, the Cooperative Department, Yangon Investment Committee, UMFCCI, the Myanmar Rice Federation, and products from various regions and states across the country. There are also food stalls and restaurants set up on site by Yangon-area food vendors, providing the public with diverse options.

During the event, in addition to charity food sales, famous movie, theater, and music artists will perform on stage. The organizers have arranged shuttle buses for public round trips to and from the venue. At night, People's Square will be adorned with floral displays, lighting, and fireworks, creating a vibrant and festive atmosphere for Yangon residents.
