(Bandar Seri Begawan, 30th)—With the theme of "Cultivating Future Youth Entrepreneurs," the Youth and Sports Department, through the Youth Development Centre (PPB), held the launch ceremony for a marketplace last Friday evening at the indoor stadium parking lot.
The event attracted the participation of over 100 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Member of Parliament Zainol officiated the launch ceremony and, accompanied by the Youth Development Centre Assistant Director Haswandy and representatives of the organiser, toured the event site and interacted with stallholders.
This collaboration serves as a practical training platform under the "Youth Dynamism Activity Management" programme, aimed at alumni and trainees of the centre's Entrepreneurship Club.
The initiative is expected to build a youth entrepreneurship ecosystem through nationwide participation, making a strategic contribution to the Youth and Sports Department’s "National Youth Policy and Strategy 2020–2035" (DBNS).
The programme also aims to maximise the potential of public spaces through strategic involvement of stakeholders including government departments, private sector, and communities.
It is hoped that through these measures—by nurturing a generation of capable, creative and competitive young entrepreneurs—Brunei's Vision 2035 can be supported and realised.
