50-year-old Japanese actress Ryoko Yonekura has safely avoided charges in her drug-related case, receiving a decision of non-prosecution yesterday. Last September, she repeatedly canceled events citing health issues, and it was later revealed that the 'Kanto Shinetsu Health Bureau Narcotics Control Department' had raided the residence she shared with her Argentine boyfriend Gonzalo. During the raid, various illegal drugs and related paraphernalia were found. However, her urine test results came back negative, indicating she did not use drugs. In addition, as her Argentine boyfriend had already left Japan, it was difficult to determine ownership of the drugs, and due to insufficient evidence, she was not prosecuted.
She stars in 'Angel Flight THE MOVIE', a film on a streaming platform, with the trailer released on the 14th. A preview screening was originally scheduled for the 21st, and she was set to attend.
