On the 15th, the Chinese Foreign Ministry stated that the Chinese and U.S. heads of state had in-depth exchanges of views on major issues concerning both countries and the world, reaching a series of new consensus.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry released a statement on its official website in the form of a spokesperson answering reporters’ questions, further introducing the relevant situation of Chinese President Xi Jinping hosting a series of state activities for U.S. President Donald Trump (visiting China from the 13th to the 15th).

The statement emphasized that Xi Jinping and Trump agreed to establish a "China-U.S. Constructive Strategic Stable Relationship" as the new positioning of the two countries’ relations, providing strategic guidance for bilateral relations over the next three years and beyond, and promoting the stable, healthy, and sustainable development of China-U.S. relations, bringing more peace, prosperity, and progress to the world.

The statement pointed out that the interaction between the two heads of state promoted mutual understanding, deepened mutual trust, advanced practical cooperation, enhanced the well-being of the two peoples, and injected much-needed stability and certainty into the world.

On the 15th, Trump posted on the social media platform Truth Social, saying he hopes U.S.-China relations will be "stronger than ever and reach new heights."

BBC: Few Major Economic Outcomes

BBC reported that this summit has so far mainly showcased mild rhetoric and carefully arranged symbolic scenes, but there have been few major economic achievements.

Although both sides made thorough arrangements, no major trade agreement or structural accord has been reached at this meeting.

On the contrary, both sides pointed out that the trade truce reached in October would continue. Under this agreement, Washington suspended sharply increasing tariffs on Chinese goods, while Beijing eased restrictions on rare earth exports.

The White House stated that the two leaders agreed to establish a "trade committee" to manage bilateral relations without having to reopen tariff negotiations.
