On the 4th, Tourism Australia announced the launch of the second phase of its 'Come Say G’Day' tourism promotion campaign, targeting key global markets including China.
In a statement, Tourism Australia said the campaign would feature a series of localized creative initiatives, bringing together Australian tourism ambassador “Ruby the Roo” and well-known local personalities from target tourism markets such as China to encourage international visitors to travel to and holiday in Australia.
Australian Minister for Trade and Tourism Don Farrell said, 'Come Say G’Day' has attracted more visitors, created more job opportunities, and driven Australia’s economic growth.
The Australian Tourism Research Institute predicts that the number of international visitors to Australia will reach a record 10 million in 2026, rising to 11.8 million by 2029.
In October 2022, Tourism Australia launched the global brand marketing campaign 'Come Say G’Day'. The first event of the second phase of this campaign will be held in China later this week.
