Although applications and information updates for the Compassionate Aid Fund (STR) are open annually, the first installment for next year will be disbursed starting in January. Those who wish to receive the aid in the first installment need to submit their applications or update their information by November 30th of this year.
The conditions for applying for the Compassionate Aid Fund require a monthly household income below 5,000 MYR or for singles, a monthly income below 2,500 MYR.
Applicants need to prepare documents including identity card, marriage certificate, spouse’s death certificate, divorce certificate, disabled person’s card, spouse's identity card/passport/entry visa/border pass, children's identity cards and birth certificates, adopted children's identity cards and adoption certificates, etc.
Besides filling out the form, applications can also be submitted online by visiting https://bantuantunai.hasil.gov.my.
Application forms can be downloaded and printed from the STR official website, obtained from the Inland Revenue Board, or from the Kuching DAP headquarters.
