The wireless singing talent show "Middle-Aged Good Voice" Season 4 has officially launched overseas recruitment. Four Malaysian representatives from Season 3, Wang Zheng Jun Ren, He Ping Qiu, Liu Chuan Min, and Xiao Wei Lun, participated in a media interview on Friday to discuss the changes and gains brought by the competition. They also encouraged people with dreams to pursue them bravely and not miss the opportunity to realize their dreams.
Wang Zheng Jun Ren from Penang stated that the biggest gain from participating is popularity and fans. He joked that he doesn't dare dress too casually when going out in Hong Kong, as people recognize him in the subway and cheer him on. He candidly admitted that the show's influence is really big! He thanked the support of his fans, the "Dolphin Fans": "Every time there's an event or news about me, they leave supportive messages, and even bring a large group to cheer for me, which is really touching."
Xiao Wei Lun said that after the competition, he gained many fans in Hong Kong and received many commercial performance and event invitations. He and Liu Chuan Min will co-host a concert on the 15th of this month, and there is hope to perform in Hong Kong in August. He shared emotionally: "Some Hong Kong fans flew over specifically to watch my performance and even customized luggage covers with my image, which was really surprising." Liu Chuan Min joked that besides increased exposure, he also made many like-minded new friends. "What surprised me the most was being recognized on the streets of Hong Kong; at that moment, I truly felt that this competition made my existence known to the world, it's a very good experience." The two also fondly recalled the moment they encountered their idol Alan Tam at the TVB studio, exclaiming "it was like a dream come true."
He Ping Qiu humbly said: "I'm more ordinary and not easily recognized." However, she admitted that the program allowed more people to hear her singing, greatly enhancing her popularity. "I also appreciate the judges' comments, which helped me improve my singing skills."
Talking about future developments, Wang Zheng Jun Ren revealed that most of his work arrangements currently come from Hong Kong, including participating in the "Middle-Aged Good Voice 3 - With You and Me" concert on July 19 at the Kai Tak Sports Park in Hong Kong, as one of the top 8 contestants of Middle-Aged Good Voice 3. He does not rule out developing in Hong Kong in the future and hopes to further advance into the Chinese and even the North American markets: "I hope to have the opportunity to perform on more different international stages."
As the recruitment for "Middle-Aged Good Voice 4" heats up, the four individuals also encouraged aspirants to sign up bravely. Liu Chuan Min expresses: "In middle age, if you have a dream, pursue it!" Wang Zheng Jun Ren also said: "How many decades do you have in life? If there's a chance to chase your dream, you must seize it."
