Celebrity pilot James revealed in a livestream on the evening of the 12th that a China Airlines flight CI186 from Taoyuan to Busan landed on the wrong runway at Busan Airport. It was supposed to land on runway 18L but the pilot landed on the military runway 18R, almost colliding with a plane on the runway. Thankfully, the plane was still waiting outside, avoiding an accident.

China Airlines stated that flight CI186 to Busan did not meet the tower's requirements when landing at Busan Airport. To comprehensively determine the cause, an independent investigation will be initiated. China Airlines explained that due to the curfew at Busan Airport, the subsequent CI187 flight was rescheduled to depart the next day, and another crew was dispatched to execute the flight mission. Arrangements have also been made for passengers' accommodations, rest, and meals.
The Taiwan Transportation Safety Board confirmed receiving notifications and stated that since the incident occurred in South Korea, according to international investigation regulations, it is up to the Korean side to handle it. The board will provide assistance, but if Korea does not investigate, the board will launch an investigation.
