In the movie 'Harbin', Hyun Bin portrays the Korean independence activist Ahn Jung-geun. He revealed that this film has been the 'most mentally challenging work' since his debut. Physical fatigue was insignificant compared to the mental stress. While filming an execution scene, he couldn't hold back his emotions and cried. Hyun Bin mentioned that this film was almost born alongside his son, and he is determined to show it to him when he grows up to let him know that his father played such a great character. Hyun Bin even asked for opinions: 'When should I show it to my son?'

Hyun Bin frequently mentioned that the most difficult part was not the physical challenge, but the mental pressure. The film presents the process before the assassination, leading him to ponder whether Ahn Jung-geun felt disheartened or confused before carrying out his mission, especially after seeing so many fellow comrades sacrifice themselves. It can be imagined how much he struggled internally.

Hyun Bin felt a deep respect for these martyrs. After filming the final execution scene, the crew asked for his thoughts, and he began to cry while speaking. 'The lingering emotions lasted for quite a long time, occasionally bursting out and then gradually subsiding, repeating like this for the entire day.'

Once his child grows up, Hyun Bin wishes for him to see the film and tell him that when he was born, his father was striving to portray such a great character. At the interview venue, Hyun Bin also conducted a survey: 'At what age should I let my child watch it?' He received answers like 'sixth grade' and 'upper grades', to which he smiled and nodded, appearing like a good father.
