Wildfires rage, and in the celebrity mansion area of Malibu, California, one mansion is being called a miracle because after the smoke cleared, among rows of houses, only it remained standing firm.
The New York Post reported that this mansion is valued at nearly 9 million USD (about 40 million MYR). The 64-year-old homeowner, Steiner, initially thought his three-story building was beyond saving when someone sent him footage of fire and smoke engulfing his neighbor’s property.
However, later someone contacted him to say his house made the news, only then did he realize the house stood like a lighthouse amidst millions of dollars worth of burnt and smoking estate ruins. The owner believes the sturdy structure of the house, possibly designed for earthquake resistance, helped it survive while surrounding houses were destroyed by fire.
Steiner explained that the house is composed of stucco and stone, with a fireproof roof. The house also has pillars that go 50 feet deep into the bedrock, ensuring it remains stable even under the impact of strong ocean waves.
