Three-Vehicle Collision Results in Two Deaths, One Injury

(Silian, 29th) Yesterday, a traffic accident involving three vehicles occurred at the 52-kilometer mark on the Silian to Sri Aman road in Engkabang B village, resulting in two deaths and one injury.
The Sarawak Fire Department issued a statement saying they received an emergency call at 5:49 PM and subsequently dispatched a fire truck and eight firefighters from the Silian Fire and Rescue Station, arriving at the scene 20 minutes later.
The accident involved a truck, a Toyota Hilux, and a Perodua Bezza.

“The accident involved a truck, a Toyota Hilux, and a Perodua Bezza. When firefighters arrived, the 47-year-old truck driver had a head injury,” the statement said.
Additionally, two casualties from the Toyota Hilux, a man and a woman, both aged 50, were found trapped and unconscious.
Rescue personnel then used professional equipment to extricate the two victims.
“Both were later pronounced dead on the scene by the medical staff of the Malaysia Ministry of Health.”
The two bodies have been handed over to the police and the Ministry of Health for further proceedings.
The third vehicle, the Perodua Bezza, was also involved in the accident, but the driver was not present when fire personnel arrived at the scene.
“Further information on the driver is not yet available,” the statement added.
