South Korean actress Lee Yu-ri, only 43 years old, was reported on the 1st to have passed away on the 20th of last month! Earlier this year, Lee Yu-ri worked with Lee Dong-wook and Lee Kwang-soo on the K-drama “Divorce Insurance,” unexpectedly making her new drama her final work, shocking fans.
Lee Yu-ri debuted in 2013 through the Korean drama “Gu-am Heo Jun,” and subsequently appeared in “Hundred Year Legacy,” “Cheongdam-dong Scandal,” the movie “Secretly, Greatly,” and more. Unexpectedly, on the 1st, her IG posted a black-and-white photo, confirming her passing though the cause of death was not announced.
The IG post was written by her manager on behalf of her mother and father, stating, “My smart, beautiful, and kind little sister went to heaven on June 20, 2025. I’m leaving this blessing here.” It further added, “We know everyone is shocked and heartbroken by the news of her death, but please pray for her and let her move on to a better place.”
A week before her passing, Lee Yu-ri had shared past videos on IG, mourning director Hyun Jin-sik, with the caption: “This MV was shot using only natural light, without lighting, but the original version is missing—did oppa take it with him?” She added, “Thank you for leaving me beautiful memories during my peak.” Her sorrowful words moved fans to tears.
