The exclusive contract lawsuit between South Korean girl group "NewJeans" and their agency "ADOR" continues to escalate. Recently, in a damages compensation lawsuit, "ADOR" alleged that Danielle was involved in contact with a company funded by Chinese capital, raising suspicions of a "dual contract." In response, Danielle's legal representatives spoke out on the 6th, refuting the distorted facts.
The Seoul Central District Court recently held the third trial hearing, where "ADOR" claimed Danielle had promoted collaboration with overseas artists and pointed out that she negotiated cooperation with a company backed by Chinese capital, which they believe constitutes a violation of the exclusive contract.
On the 6th, Danielle's legal team publicly refuted this through the NewJeans fan club “Team Bunnies,” stating, “Some media outlets mentioned ‘Chinese capital,’ misreporting and distorting this into Danielle having signed or concealed a dual agency contract with an external company. This is not true.” In their statement, the legal team emphasized that, including Danielle, all NewJeans members have never signed or attempted to sign dual exclusive artist contracts with any company, and further criticized "ADOR"'s in-court statements as inconsistent with the facts. Danielle's legal team asserted that "ADOR"'s lawyers exaggerated and distorted the facts, and warned that if attempts to influence public opinion through the media continue, they will take firm legal action.#
