Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu delivered a video statement on the evening of the 24th, stating that Israel reserves complete freedom of action in Lebanon to respond to threats, including newly emerging threats.
He made this public statement a day after U.S. President Trump announced the extension of the Israel-Lebanon ceasefire for another three weeks.
He pointed out that Israel has initiated a historic peace process with Lebanon, but Hezbollah in Lebanon is attempting to undermine this process, and Israel will reserve complete freedom of action against any threats, including newly emerging ones.
He confirmed that Israel carried out airstrikes in Lebanon on both the 23rd and 24th, saying, "We are determined to restore the safety of residents in northern Israel."
Speaking about the situation with Iran, Netanyahu said he had spoken with Trump by phone, and that Trump is putting very strong pressure on Iran, including economic and military measures, and that the U.S. and Israel are working together closely on actions regarding Iran.
Successful Early Prostate Cancer Treatment
In addition, Netanyahu stated on social media that he had successfully undergone treatment for early-stage prostate cancer.
Israel's Channel 12 TV website also quoted Netanyahu's medical report as saying that he underwent surgery for benign prostatic hyperplasia in December 2024, but post-surgical examination revealed he was in the early stage of prostate cancer. Subsequently, Netanyahu received radiation therapy.
