Pretending to be Andy Lau: Official Action Taken, Fake Account Reaches Over a Million Followers

Some top-tier artists even have fake accounts impersonating 'official accounts' to deceive fans into following them. Now, Andy Lau's true official organization 'Andy's World Club' has finally stepped in to debunk the fakes, hoping fans won't be deceived anymore.

Regarding IG's 'andylauox' and other accounts claiming to be 'andylau' Andy Lau, Henthai Universal Ltd. (Henthai Company) and Andy's World Club Ltd. (Andy's World Club) issued a joint statement: "Mr. Andy Lau currently does not have a personal account on IG, and 'andylau.awc_official' is his only official account on IG. Any accounts claiming to be Mr. Andy Lau on the IG platform are not affiliated with him or related companies. All parties are advised to remain vigilant and not be deceived. Henthai Company and Andy's World Club will investigate the above false information and any actions infringing on Mr. Andy Lau's or Henthai Company's or Andy's World Club's rights, including reputation and intellectual property rights, and reserve the right to pursue legal action."

It is reported that 'andylauox', due to its convincing impersonation, has surprisingly gained 1.055 million followers, including several Hong Kong and Taiwan artists. Now that Andy's World Club has stepped in to point out the fake, it remains unknown whether these artists will unfollow after seeing the statement.#
