(Miri, 28th) The Miri City Council has submitted the information of multiple car owners with outstanding parking fines to the CTOS system, aiming to enhance parking management order.
Car owners can check their credit record status in CTOS by visiting www.ctoscredit.com.my.
Miri Mayor Yu Xiao Shan stated that the council is taking necessary measures to ensure the timely payment of parking fines. Currently, the council has included in the CTOS system the first batch of car owners who have repeatedly failed to pay parking fines, further promoting car owners' responsibility for unpaid fines.
He further stated that this measure is implemented in accordance with the "2006 Road Transport (Parking Places Provision) (Miri City Council) (Amendment) Order," aiming to improve parking order.
The council encourages car owners to promptly settle unpaid parking fines to avoid stricter actions in the future.
Yu Xiao Shan added that there will be no 50% discount on fines this year, but those who pay parking fines using the city's mobile app can participate in a lucky draw to win prizes.
Car owners can log in to the CTOS website to check their CTOS status. For further assistance, please contact the city council (phone: 085-438840).
