(Bandar Seri Begawan, 8th) The 33rd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) will be held from December 9 to 20, 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand.
The first batch of the Brunei delegation consists of 36 members, including 21 athletes from karate, sepak takraw, and taekwondo, as well as 15 officials, including the assistant head of the delegation, secretariat officials, medical officers, and coaches. They departed for Bangkok, Thailand yesterday to participate in the competition.
Permanent Secretary (Culture) at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, Pengiran Mohd Hasnan, was present at Brunei International Airport to wish the delegation members a safe journey and give an encouraging speech.
Brunei will participate in 9 out of the 54 events in the 33rd Southeast Asian Games. These are swimming, weightlifting, netball, karate, silat, polo, sepak takraw, taekwondo, and wushu.
The second batch of the delegation will depart for Bangkok, Thailand to participate in the competition on December 9, 2025.
