Hollywood superstar “Tom Cruise” (Tom Cruise) has been in the film industry for over 40 years and has acted in countless blockbuster hits, often guaranteeing box office success. It is surprising, however, that he has never won an Oscar. This regret will finally end, as the Oscars' organizing body, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, announced on the 18th that they will award a Lifetime Achievement Award to Tom Cruise before the 2026 Oscar ceremony, marking Cruise's first Oscar statuette of his career.

The 62-year-old Tom Cruise has been nominated for an Oscar four times but has never taken home the prestigious golden statuette. He is renowned globally for his performances in action films such as 'Top Gun' and 'Mission: Impossible.'

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences issued a statement stating: “Tom Cruise’s outstanding contributions in the fields of film production, viewing experience, and stunts inspire us all.” The Academy praised him as “one of the most admired and highest-grossing actors of all time,” noting his commitment to performing all his own stunts.
