(Seria, 16th) Datuk Seri Lin Chang-zhen, President of the Brunei Chinese Taipei Association of Overseas Compatriots, attended the 64th anniversary reunion of his 6th-grade class at Nei Li Elementary School in Taoyuan, Taiwan yesterday.
This long-awaited reunion was not only filled with warmth and emotion, but also served as a testament to the enduring and invaluable bond of classmates through the passage of time.
Former Principal of Zhongli Community University, Lin Deng-bin, served as master of ceremonies. A total of 41 old classmates and teachers participated in the event. Datuk Seri Lin Chang-zhen specially purchased a cake to honor the teachers and invited Teacher Fan Jing-ying to cut the cake, making for a touching and heartwarming scene.
The reunion took place at a restaurant in Nei Li, Taoyuan. Classmates in attendance included Chen Hong-mei, Fan Jing-ying, Qiu Chuang-chuan, Li A-jian, Liu Cai-yu, Huang Zhao-yi, Zeng Xin-you, Wu Jin-sheng, Zheng Wen-zhi, Li Pin-ming, Wu Cha-mei, Huang Xiu-mei, Qiu Gan-mei, Wu Yue-mei, Zeng Mei-yu, Liu Yu-sen, Cheng Jian-yu, Cong Shu-ren, Zhang Guo-yang, Pu Yi-bei, Wang Hao, Qiu Gui-zhen, Wang Wen-chang, Lin Fu-cai, Zeng Zhao-fu, Huang Ren-cai, Wang Qing-jin, You Shu-e, Lin Shu-zhu, Huang Mei-yu, Zhou Shun-sheng, Lin Deng-bin, Datuk Seri Lin Chang-zhen, Liu Li-yun, Zhang Zhi-yi, Peng Tai-zhou, Xu Mao-you, Xu Mao-huan, Xu De-min, Ye You-ci, and Liu Shao-yan.
This gathering was not only a wonderful moment for old classmates to relive the past and share life's stories, but also a tribute to the tireless efforts of their teachers. Everyone joined together to reminisce about campus life from many years ago, as if turning back the hands of time.
Datuk Seri Lin Chang-zhen expressed his happiness at being able to come to Taiwan to attend the reunion with his old classmates, saying he was extremely delighted to see them and greatly cherished their bond of friendship.
