South Korean President Lee Jae-myung recently visited China and met with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Korean Ambassador to China, Noh Jae-heon, stated on the 12th that Lee Jae-myung's trip to China was a great success, laying the foundation for both countries to jointly promote the comprehensive restoration of bilateral relations, as well as maintaining peace and people’s livelihoods.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Noh Jae-heon held a regular press conference at the Korean Embassy in Beijing on the 12th, gave a positive assessment of Lee Jae-myung’s recent state visit to China, and said that the embassy would take this trip as an opportunity to strive to turn the substantial developments in China-Korea relations into benefits for people’s livelihoods and realize peaceful coexistence between the two countries.
He stated that this trip to China by Lee Jae-myung was a great success, and even the word "success" is not sufficient to describe the outcomes of this visit. This visit has laid the foundation for both countries to jointly promote the comprehensive restoration of bilateral relations and to maintain peace and people’s livelihoods, and it is also conducive to enhancing the friendship between the two heads of state.
Noh Jae-heon specifically introduced the achievements of Lee Jae-myung's visit to China, particularly mentioning the consensus reached between China and South Korea to further deepen cooperation in the cultural and creative industries and in supply chains.
According to the Korean Embassy in China, Noh Jae-heon accompanied Lee Jae-myung throughout his state visit to China from January 4th to 7th, participating in a forum with Korean expatriates in China, the China-Korea Business Forum, the China-Korea leaders’ meeting and state banquet, and accompanying Lee Jae-myung in meetings with Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Premier Li Qiang of the State Council, and Chen Jining, Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee. He also attended the China-Korea Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum, a luncheon with the press corps, as well as the 100th anniversary ceremony of the establishment of the Korean Provisional Government site in Shanghai.
