42-year-old Korean actor Bae Jung-nam recently shared a shocking experience on a show. He revealed that while exercising and walking along a mountain path one day, he unexpectedly stumbled upon a male corpse, which left him terrified and devastated.
Bae Jung-nam recounted the details of the incident, stating that when he first saw the body, he thought it was another exerciser or just a passerby stretching. However, after calling out and getting no response, he realized something was wrong. As he approached to check, he discovered that the man showed no signs of life. Bae was so shocked that his whole body froze, saying, “That moment my whole body turned cold, and my mind went blank.” The memory is still vivid for him today.
Bae immediately called for help, but unexpectedly, the operator asked him to “first try to loosen the rope.” He found himself struggling, feeling “I really can’t do it,” yet the operator kept asking for assistance in verifying the situation. Reluctantly, Bae tried, but said, “because the person was too heavy, the rope couldn’t be untied at all. I was almost about to break down.” Eventually, the rescue team arrived and took over. Bae also mentioned that his beloved dog Bell had recently passed away, but this mountain path had been Bell’s favorite route during his lifetime. So he could not give up walking this trail, saying, “Because Bell loved to walk, even though this incident left a psychological shadow, I can’t stop coming here.”
