(China, 25th) The astronaut crew of China’s manned spacecraft Shenzhou 23 has moved into the Chinese space station.
According to CCTV News, after the manned spacecraft successfully docked with the space station complex, the Shenzhou 23 astronaut crew smoothly entered the orbital module from the return capsule. At 5:13 a.m. on Monday (May 25), the Shenzhou 21 astronaut crew, who are carrying out their mission in orbit, opened the “home door” to welcome the Shenzhou 23 astronaut crew into the Chinese space station. This marks the eighth “space rendezvous” in China’s space history, and also the first time that an astronaut from Hong Kong has entered “Tiangong.”
It was reported that the two astronaut crews will subsequently carry out in-orbit rotation aboard the space station.
During their stay in the space station, the Shenzhou 23 astronaut crew will carry out multiple experiments and applications in the fields of space life and human body research, microgravity physical science, space new technology, and more. They will also conduct multiple extravehicular activities, and complete tasks such as installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of devices inside and outside the modules.
