(Miri, 29th) Miri Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCCI) held its annual "Spring Festival Gathering" today (the first day of the Lunar New Year) from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Chamber's office.
Despite the heavy rain, it did not stop members and their families from attending to welcome the Year of the Snake in 2025.
The event was festively decorated, radiating the strong atmosphere of the Spring Festival. Chairman Ling Chiong Sing, along with board members, greeted the guests on site. Meanwhile, the Chamber also invited lion dance troupes from SMK Chung Hua Miri, Pei Min Middle School, and Riam Road Middle School to perform exciting lion dances.

Accompanied by powerful drums, the lion dance teams leapt and rolled, earning rounds of applause, adding to the festive atmosphere at the event.
The event also thoughtfully prepared refreshments, allowing participants to exchange New Year greetings and blessings in a relaxed and enjoyable environment, welcoming new hopes for the Year of the Snake. The gathering not only strengthened the bonds among members but also demonstrated the spirit of unity and harmony within the Miri Chinese Chamber of Commerce celebrating together.
