Brunei Police Conduct Joint Night Operation: Multi-Agency Collaboration to Inspect for Illegal Items

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 20th) The Royal Brunei Police Force, in cooperation with several enforcement agencies, conducted a joint operation at around 11 PM at multiple locations surrounding Sungai Belait in Belait District.
This operation involved a total of 34 police officers from the Royal Brunei Police Force, the National Immigration Registry Department, Customs Department, and the Department of Labour. The inspection found individuals in violation of the Customs Act for allegedly possessing prohibited items, with a total seizure of 4 cartons and 8 packs of various brands of cigarettes. All contraband was confiscated by the Customs Department for further action.
The Royal Brunei Police Force advises the public to always comply with national laws, especially regarding the possession and sale of prohibited items.
Community cooperation is vital in helping enforcement agencies combat activities that may affect national peace and security.
