"Little Swallow" Zhao Wei recently posted a tribute to Qiong Yao on Weibo. This was her first Weibo update since she was mysteriously banned by Chinese authorities three years ago, causing fans to lament Qiong Yao's passing while feeling a bit of joy at Zhao Wei's return. However, bad news has come again today, her businessman husband Huang Youlong is being pursued for debts by a venture capital company in Hong Kong. The company has filed a lawsuit to recover about 753 million HKD (approximately 430 million MYR), with total debts accumulated over the years in Hong Kong amounting to nearly 4.5 billion TWD (approximately 617 million MYR).
In 2022, Huang Youlong had already accrued significant debts in Hong Kong. A financial company filed a lawsuit in court, seeking to recover nearly 300 million HKD (about 173 million MYR) from him and his guarantor. Last year, he was accused by a property company of owing 2.8 million HKD (approximately 1.616 million MYR) in luxury home rent, leading to another lawsuit. Now, with the venture capital company joining the ranks of debt collectors, he has accumulated a total debt of 4.482 billion TWD (approximately 2.587 billion MYR) in Hong Kong.
48-year-old Zhao Wei and Huang Youlong have been married for 16 years and have one daughter. The couple once dominated the business scene, owning a French winery and becoming the second-largest shareholder of Alibaba Pictures, with multiple companies under their names. However, in 2017, they were fined by the China Securities Regulatory Commission and deemed unsuitable to serve as directors, supervisors, or senior managers of a listed company by the Shanghai Stock Exchange for five years in 2018. Since then, negative news has continued to surface.
