(Seremban, 8th) In conjunction with the lunar calendar’s sixth month, 24th day, for the birthday celebration of Guan Sheng Dijun, Teng Yun Temple held a birthday celebration and worship ceremony, with devotees enthusiastically participating and praying for blessings together.
Teng Yun Temple began the festivities on the 5th of this month (Wednesday, the 23rd day of the sixth lunar month) at 11 PM, with a ceremony to invite deities to descend and a welcoming worship ceremony for the Jade Emperor as well as the Three Officials and Five Emperors, thus kicking off the celebration for Guan Sheng Dijun’s birthday.
On the 6th of this month (Thursday, the 24th day of the sixth lunar month) at 5 PM, the temple held the Worship and Offering Ceremony to reward the Five Camps’ generals and to make charitable offerings to the invisible beings (wandering spirits and elders).
At 8 PM that evening, the temple also held another ceremony to invite the deities to descend and to see off the Jade Emperor and the Three Officials and Five Emperors, perfectly concluding the celebration for Guan Sheng Dijun’s birthday.
Teng Yun Temple Chairman Lee Yong Zhen led the temple’s board members and devotees in the incense offering and worship ceremony.
Those in attendance included Acting Chairman Cheng Yong Ming, Vice Chairman Cheng Yong Nian, Vice Chairman Lin Peng Guo, Vice Chairman Fang Teng Zhong, and Vice Chairwoman Chen Li Rong, among others.
