Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn stated on the 1st that she accepts the ruling of the Constitutional Court.
Speaking to the media at the Bangkok Government House, she said: "The verdict has been announced, and I accept the court's decision. I would like to reiterate that I have always been committed to doing what is best for the country."
According to several Thai media outlets, after Paetongtarn's suspension, Current Deputy Prime Minister and Transport Minister Suriya Juangroongruangkit will temporarily serve as acting Prime Minister.
On the 1st, Thailand's Constitutional Court announced that it had accepted a petition to investigate whether Prime Minister Paetongtarn had committed any unconstitutional acts and decided to immediately suspend her from exercising her prime ministerial powers.
