87-Year-Old Leung Oi Diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer, Moves into Nursing Home and Forgoes Treatment

87-year-old former TVB veteran actress Leung Oi recently announced that she had moved into a nursing home. It turns out that she has been suffering from pancreatic cancer for more than six months and now needs care, but she has refused chemotherapy and chosen to live with her cancer. Having been abandoned by her parents, and in her later years losing both her husband and son, this seasoned actress faces the rest of her life with an open-hearted attitude, saying, 'Having lived into my 80s, I've had enough.' She even bluntly stated: 'I just hope to die quickly and have peace in the world.'

Half a year ago, Leung Oi went to the doctor due to unbearable pain in both legs and difficulty walking, and was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Faced with serious illness, she remains exceptionally open-minded, emphasizing that she has given up treatment. Leung Oi added loudly: 'What else is there to worry about? It’s okay! Not everyone can live to be 87.' Currently, Leung Oi goes to the hospital regularly for check-ups and supplements this with traditional Chinese medicine, but firmly refuses Western medical treatment, facing life and death with calm: 'I won’t do radiotherapy or chemotherapy. After living into my 80s, I’ve had enough. We’ll coexist peacefully. I’ll be friends with it (the cancer), as long as it doesn’t hurt.'

Leung Oi also revealed that her weight dropped rapidly after she fell ill, and now she weighs less than 32kg, looking extremely thin and gaunt. She has now given up alcohol, only reduced her smoking, but insists on remaining unrestrained: 'Who can manage me? I’m very rebellious now; I eat salty and sweet foods as I like. At my age, how much longer can I eat anyway?'
