(Bandar Seri Begawan, 12th) The Ministry of Finance and Economy (MOFE), through its Revenue Division, held a corporate income tax awareness seminar on the 6th of this month at the multifunction hall on the department’s third floor, aiming to enhance enterprises’ understanding of the scope of taxation in our country and their compliance obligations and responsibilities regarding corporate income tax.
At the seminar, officials from the Revenue Division, based on Chapter 35 of the Income Tax Act, explained in detail the basis of tax assessment, the submission process of the tax return, as well as the compliance requirements for calculating tax liabilities.
The Ministry of Finance and Economy stated that this is one of the continuous efforts to strengthen tax compliance levels and raise public—especially taxpayers’—awareness of the importance of corporate tax.
