(Kuala Lumpur, 26th) The Genting Highlands road toll operator, Lingkaran Cekap Sdn Bhd (LCSB), announced that starting May 28, 2026, the Genting Highlands stretch will officially implement a Private Road Charge.
Toll booths will be located at the Genting Sempah entrance and the Gohtong Jaya roundabout entrance.
According to the announcement, the one-way toll rates for various vehicle categories are as follows:

Note: Vehicles in Group 2, 3, 4, and 5 must use the “Special Lane” (Lorong Khas) or License Plate Recognition (LPR) lane to enter.
Vehicle Exemption Policy
According to the announcement, some vehicles will be exempt from the toll based on essential operational and public service considerations:
1. Exempted Without Registration:
Emergency vehicles, motorcycles
2. Must Register and Enter via LPR or Special Lane for Exemption:
Privately owned vehicles of civil servants working at government agencies below Genting Highlands

– SMK Seri Layang
– Aminuddin Baki Institute
– Genting Highlands Police Station
– Gohtong Jaya Police Station
– Genting Highlands Fire & Rescue Station
– Seri Layang Rural Clinic
– Genting Highlands District Office
– Bentong District Land Office
– Bentong Municipal Council Genting Highlands Branch
– Pahang State Secretary’s Office (Genting Highlands Branch)
As for the second phase, effective from June 28, 2026, long-term residents of Genting Highlands may register up to two Group 1 vehicles (cars or vans) per household and choose any of the following options:
(i) Discounted single-trip rate (registration required): Registered vehicles using the LPR lane or Special Lane can enjoy a 10% discount off the standard rate.
