(Pyongyang, 29th) North Korea's official media reported that leader Kim Jong-un attended a ground test of a solid-fuel rocket engine made from carbon fiber materials, observed special forces training, and inspected a new type of main battle tank.
The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported Kim Jong-un's itinerary on Sunday (March 29th).
According to the report, this new high-thrust solid-fuel engine has a maximum thrust of 2,500 kilonewtons. The purpose of the ground test is to enhance North Korea's strategic strike capability, and it is a component of North Korea's new five-year national defense development plan.
It was reported that Kim Jong-un said this test is of great significance for the modernization of North Korea's strategic forces.
Kim Jong-un also inspected a special operations force training base, emphasizing the need to conduct high-intensity peacetime training to prepare for modern warfare. He also outlined plans to restructure North Korea's special operations forces.

In addition, Kim Jong-un observed the testing of a new main battle tank. He pointed out that the tank's active protection system is able to intercept almost all existing anti-tank weapons, boasting that it is unmatched anywhere in the world.
Kim Jong-un is dedicated to advancing the modernization of North Korea's conventional forces and missile arsenal, and has recently inspected military activities multiple times.
At a rare ruling Workers' Party Congress held in February, he announced a new five-year plan, reaffirmed his commitment to continue developing nuclear weapons, and called for a comprehensive enhancement of North Korea's military capabilities.
North Korea is especially focused on solid-fuel missile technology. Analysts say that compared to liquid-fuel systems, this technology can speed up launch preparations and improve survivability.
South Korea and the United States have said they are closely monitoring North Korea’s weapons development trends.
