Yang Ming and Sze Ming Release Second Wave of Wedding Photos: Hidden Bittersweet Story Behind the Sweetness

This Sunday (August 2), Hong Kong artist Yang Ming and Lisa Chong Sze Ming, known as the 'Malaysian Dato's Daughter,' will hold their wedding at the Kuala Lumpur Marriott Hotel. On the night of the 31st, as their wedding countdown continues, they released a second batch of wedding photos taken in Kuala Lumpur. What seemed like a simple sharing of sweet moments turned out to have a touching story hidden behind the pictures.

This collection of wedding photos incorporates several Kuala Lumpur landmarks, including the iconic Twin Towers (KLCC) symbolizing Malaysia, as well as a popular Instagrammable “McDonald’s Street” spot specially chosen by the bride, Lisa Chong. However, the most meaningful photos are those taken at the Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur Hotel.
The Malaysian wedding photography team, Snap by Three, revealed on social media that Lisa specially chose Sheraton Imperial as a photo shooting location because this building holds special meaning for her. "The building was designed by Lisa's father, Dato’ Chong Poh."

Lisa's father, Dato’ Chong Poh, passed away on February 28, 2023, at the age of 83. At this most important moment in her life, Lisa chose to return to the building designed by her father to take her wedding photos, as if to reunite with him through the camera lens, allowing her father to witness her entering a new stage of life in another way. This longing and love embedded in the wedding photos add a poignant memorial significance to the romantic scene.
