The founder and chairman of Xiaomi Group, Lei Jun, wrote on the 10th that the past month has been the most difficult period since he founded Xiaomi, and after careful reflection, he is beginning to regain his composure.
According to the Hong Kong Economic Times, there has been a flurry of news about Xiaomi recently. After the company conducted a share placement in late March, its electric vehicles were involved in a series of accidents, and later, there were accusations that its factories are "sweatshops."
Lei Jun, in a Weibo post titled "Gym Check-in, 42nd Time in 2025," stated that the past month or more has been the most challenging time since he founded Xiaomi. "I was feeling quite down, canceled some meetings and travel plans, and also paused social media interactions for a while."
The post included two photos, one of a gym and another of a Xiaomi electric vehicle.
He mentioned that he has been very busy in recent years, and this period has allowed him to calm down and think carefully, noting that "there have indeed been some gains."
Lei Jun also expressed his gratitude to netizens and friends for their care and support, stating that he is "gradually regaining the courage and confidence to move forward, and his condition is gradually recovering."
