Miri Parent-Child Association Teams Up with Blind Association for Chinese New Year Gathering on February 15

(Miri, 17th) The Miri Parent-Child Association (Persatuan Informasi Ibu Bapa Miri) will join hands with the Sarawak Society For The Blind Miri Branch to jointly host a warm Chinese New Year gathering event on February 15, 2025, at the Piasau Boat Club in Miri. The theme of the event is "Bright New Spring, Love Fills the World."

This event marks the first collaboration between the Miri Parent-Child Association and the Sarawak Society For The Blind Miri Branch. It aims to promote interaction and integration among different groups through cross-border linkage and to bring the joy and warmth of the Spring Festival to blind friends. Approximately 20 blind participants are expected to take part in this event, celebrating the Spring Festival with members and families of the Parent-Child Association.

To ensure the smooth progress of the event, the organizing committee of the Miri Parent-Child Association and the Sarawak Society For The Blind Miri Branch have held several meetings (including online meetings) and conducted site inspections. They focused on discussing various details needed for the event, including venue arrangements, safety measures, weather contingency plans, and accessibility facilities. These meticulous preparations fully demonstrate the organizers' care and responsibility towards the event participants.

In addition, the Miri Parent-Child Association will also host a three-day, two-night outdoor camping event from February 14 to 16.

This camping will provide family members with the opportunity to get close to nature and enhance parent-child relationships, while incorporating rich Chinese New Year elements, allowing participants to experience the unique charm of the Spring Festival in the great outdoors.
