12th Asian Junior Wushu Championships: Brunei Wins 2 Gold Medals

(Bandar Seri Begawan, 29th) On the second day of the 12th Asian Junior Wushu Championships, Brunei's young athlete Lee Yan Xi demonstrated the fearless spirit of youth. In the Girls’ Children’s Nanquan event, her movements were powerful, rhythmic, steady, and solid. With an outstanding technical performance, she clinched the championship with a high score of 9.096, earning Brunei its first gold medal of the tournament.
The silver medal went to Macau with a score of 9.073, and the bronze to Iran with 9.063.
In the Boys’ Youth Nanquan event, Lin Wei Yuan impressed with his superb technique, high-quality jumps, and speed, outshining the competition to win the gold medal with a score of 9.423. The silver medalist was Iran with 9.403, and Singapore took bronze with 9.363.
Mei Xin made a mistake in the Taijijian event and placed 7th, while Cai Youqin came 5th in Taijijian with 9.210 points.
Situhaili ranked 7th in Girls’ Children’s Qiangshu. Yu Mingjun placed 8th in Boys’ Junior Nanquan.
Head coach Li Hui and coach Zhao Chunjie were very satisfied with the athletes’ performances today. They felt proud of the athletes, and were extremely moved and proud when the national anthem played and the flag was raised.
